"Tell the chef, the beer is on me."
At first I thought it was a whale shark. Megalodon sharks went extinct about 1,500,000 years ago. The Prince of Egypt takes place about 3,300 years ago. BUT using the height of the people as a rough estimate, the animal in the picture is about 90-100ft long. The shape of it clearly says “shark” but the only animal that size is the blue whale. Megalodon, the largest known shark, was 46-59ft. But on the other other hand, the air/water interface has a magnifying effect that we have to take into account! Things appear 4/3 larger than they really are. Which puts our creature at about 70-75ft. Still bigger than any known shark. Conclusion: it’s Leviathan. So I’m sure you recognize this as one of the epic moments from “The Prince of Egypt” where we see the super majestic whale as they cross through the Red Sea. However I noticed just one little issue: whale tales don’t move from side to side, they move up and down. And then it hit me, that’s not a whale. That’s not a whale. It’s a motherfucking SHARK. A BIG ASS MEGALODONIAN SHARK. WAITING IN THE WATER TO EAT THE PHARAOH’S SOLDIERS. Goddamn, Dreamworks.
