The use of the Internet has become an everyday basis and what do you think about the information overload of the internet ? (by anzimatta)

I love the fact that there are information abundance online, but there are those information who shouldn't be posted online. Once it's leaked, it's leaked fast and becomes unstoppable. It's like dropping poison in a big mug of tea. There's all that talk about privacy settings & how the internet slowly desolves privacy away.

Another thing about information overload on the internet is since there's so much facts and "facts" pointing out about something, no one will know which one are the correct facts cuz there's so many different people with their own ideologies & way of thinking, so many heads that came up with those stuff and as a result, contradicting views among all that info. That's gonna confuse n00bs who aren't deep into the subject.

In the age of information, ignorance is a choice.

mashable:

Some collect information you expressly give them, like your credit card and telephone numbers. Others gather data based on how and where you use their services. This might include anything from device and browser information to location intel. And some of it gets really specific — think about your last search query or ad click. It’s probably all “fair” game.

Depending on the type gathered, social networks use data to enhance location services and target advertising (now you know why that sunglasses website you visited three months ago follows you all over the web). A few social sites even share certain information with marketers and/or third-party partners — in that case, you are responsible for familiarizing yourself with those other companies’ policies as they apply to you and your information.
