I’m not even going to mince words here: I’ve known Fall Out Boy was recording a new album for a long time now. We have the same circle of friends. You can’t keep a secret like that. (Somehow though, the word only got leaked a couple days ago. Amazing, for something I knew about in March… of 2012.)

When I saw the new video today, I got excited - but not for the same reasons many of you probably got excited. I got excited because I saw 2Chainz and a can of gasoline. In my mind, I was thinking, “Finally. Someone is going to burn Pete and Patrick, and forever prevent them from polluting the musical world with their contrived, teen-pop shit.“

Boy was I wrong. No, Fall Out Boy just decided to take the risk of putting a black rapper in their music video, and start a fire. (Whoa! I know, right? It’s like, rap and rock coming together. That’s NEVER been done before… NOT.) Then it occurred to me about halfway through the song: “2Chainz isn’t even going to rap here.” So not only was it a cheap, poorly produced video, with the artistic expression that only people with shit taste can enjoy - they didn’t even bother using the fucking rapper they hired.

‘You’re on fire’, eh? Well, how can you creatively show us that, metaphorically speaking of course? You’ll literally set a stack of wood on fire?! Wait, no… hire a black guy to do it! That’s edgy. And uh… how about a non-white woman?! YEAH!

I wish I could have sat in on that production meeting. Oh, what I’d do to be a fly on the wall for some of those sessions.

This is the reason I can’t stand some parts of the music business. This song is horrible. It’s a formulaic pop song, with wretched songwriting, and the chorus is an overused cliche. That’s not edgy, innovative, or musically appealing to anyone above the age of 16. The video is equally boring. Why even bother making shit like this, especially when you’re paid for life already? Pete and Patrick don’t need the money. They could take risks musically, and not worry about the sales. They’re in one of the most enviable positions a musician can be in, and rather than taking risks, they’re just proving what I have always said, all along - they’re not very good.

Even when Fall Out Boy was at their peak, they weren’t even the most successful band on their own label. (A label that Pete owns.) In fact, they were the third most successful on their own label - even when putting the most marketing money behind themselves. That’s not talent.

2Chainz could have saved us all from horrible music, and he wasted the opportunity. I mean, holy shit - 2Chainz could have RAPPED on this song, and made it better. That’s really saying something. If 2Chainz is making a positive contribution to your song, then your song is fucking horrible. End of story.

oh shove it up your fucking ass shane morris nobody gives a shit about your opinion but you know what’s really funny??? the fact that you claim to have made so many artists famous but i have not heard of any artists you fucking manage besides ryan and he got famous before you decided to “”“take him under your wing”

fall in a fucking ditch

hey shane did you know that you’re literally the biggest shit bag to exist? ryan doesn’t like you no one likes you literally people have been waiting years for their fucking heroes to come back and help save them again and once they’re finally back, dickwads like you have to just put your two cents in. i’m a 15 year old girl and i am still a better person than you. are you really gonna wish death on someone who has brought so much happiness to the world? well guess what, fuck you. how’d you like it if someone wished you would die? cause hey

shane

we all do.

I sense quite an air of jealousy to this post, Shane. Thousands (literally) of people have been waiting for this band to come back and bring back the music that saved their lives.
Fall Out Boy has fuckin saved people. You’ve never done that, you can never say you will. Pete has more success in his finger than you do in your entire being, and probably always will.
Word of advice: If you want to be respected in this industry you seem to care so greatly for, start acting like a fucking professional.

Death wishes? Grow up, dude.

lol haters gonna hate, but nobody messes with the fans. IMHO I think it's fair that 2Chainz gets to rap in the music video, as long as he doesn't rap about shitty things like most rappers do nowadays.

Indra Emc:
Lebih tepatnya Fans JKT48 itu rata-rata ikut-ikutan euforia aja, cuma yang gue heran sama anak muda jaman sekarang, jika NKRI dimaki-maki sama orang asing mereka diam saja, agama mereka dimaki-maki mereka cuma diam saja, tapi giliran Idol pujaan mereka (baik itu artis/aktor/penyanyi/dll., gak cuma JKT 48 doang, sm*shblast dan lain sebagainya juga serupa koq) di KRITIK sedikit saja, mereka bahkan "SIAP MATI" membela idol tersebut, pantas saja ensiklopedia inggris-indonesia menterjemahkan "Idol = Berhala Sesembahan", bener kan..... karena mereka "Ngidol" secara berlebihan, padahal SEHEBAT apapun pembelaan mereka kepada Idol-Idol tersebut, si Idol-nya sendiri gak bakalan peduli amat koq :D
Had to repost cuz of this guy's epic comment.
Sometimes I don't understand why fans have to be so obsessive with a certain band/musician they love. With their idol(s). True, the word "idol" itself means "some kind of statue for worshipping" and those statues nowadays have been replaced with people who sing and have other talents, such as these musicians (especially mainstream ones).

And why is it that in these guys' eyes, other boys who don't like JKT48 automatically becomes gay? You can't judge someone's sexual orientation by the music they listen to, that's just idiotic. And I've never actually seen someone do this before. Those fangirls in deviantART who are equally obsessed with My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Green Day, Linkin Park, 30 Seconds To Mars, Black Veil Brides, Aiden, etc. NEVER. EVER. called someone a lesbian just cuz she doesn't like any of those bands mentioned. Those fangirls would usually pick a fight & make fun of the haters' music preferences but I've never seen them calling other girls lesbian cuz they dont like those bands (and the members). There's a lot more hot guys than just them, and there's definitely a lot more pretty girls than just JKT48.

In short, JKT48 fanboy logic.

This Is All Kinds Of Wrong of the Day: Some 65 punk rock fans had their hair shaved and their piercings removed by police in Indonesia’s conservative Aceh province after a raid on a punk-rock concert.

“The presence of the punk community is disturbing, and disrupts the life of the Banda Aceh public,” said deputy mayor Illiza Sa’aduddin Djamal, who took credit for personally supervising several anti-punk raids over the past few months.

The latest raid, however, was the largest one yet.

“This is a new social disease affecting Banda Aceh,” the deputy mayor went on to say. Among other things, she opposes their mixed-sex gatherings, which she says “is against Islamic Shariah.”

Those detained were transferred to a “reeducation” State Police camp located outside the capital. One of the detainees claimed the busted concert was put on to raise money for orphans. “He’s part of the punk community,”Illiza responded, “and whoever was caught has to go through our reeducation so they wake up,” she said.

“What did we do to deserve arresting? We didn’t steal and wedidn’t bother anyone,” said 20-year-old Acehnese punkFuazan. “The punk community in Banda Aceh is not involved with criminality. So what’s the crime that justifies us being brought to this camp? This country hasn’t yet made it illegal to express yourself, right?”

Police plan to keep the detainees at the camp for at least 10 days. Deputy Mayor Illiza vowed more crackdowns “until they’re all caught.”

Teens Going To War: Are Cartoons the Cause?

Teens Going To War: Are Cartoons the Cause?
November 21, 2011
NEW YORK - It’s tough to keep track of your children, and monitoring their viewing experiences can seem impossible. But if you’re afraid your teens may be going to war because of it, then you may have to take it seriously. The consequences could be very dire.

The culprit seems innocuous enough. It’s a colorful, happy show. However, under the jokes lies a problem. The show is Axis Powers Hetalia, a show that makes light of cultural stereotypes, and satirizes the tragedies of World War 2, with the countries being represented by animated characters.
Teens say they’d be willing to die for their favorite characters, influenced by the relationships they have within the show. “If going towar means America and Russia will get together, then it’s worth it,” remarked a fan. She enlisted in the army, hoping to support her fandom. Struggling through boot camp, she presses on anyway.

“People join the armed forces for many reasons,” Sgt. John Madison, an army recruiter in Buffalo said, when asked about the subject. “But I must admit, going to war for cartoons is a new one. I only hope they know what they’re getting into. We’re very serious about this, and it may be more than some of these kids can handle.”
Cartoons and anime may all be in good fun, but when your teens are risking for lives for it, is it really worth it? Parents need to talk to their children, and make sure they know the difference between fantasy and reality. Because otherwise, it could mean the difference between life and death.Visit FOX News online for more info.

Ugh.Really, fox news? Really? What kind of bullshit is this?
