Brazil, June 26th 2015 - Public debate between one of the country’s most homophobic pastors / ministers (left) and the president of the LGBT Brazilian Association (right). This picture says a lot.

This is so beautiful.

“Abandoned by straight people.” Something homophobic people tend to over look

Love this campaign. Also, is that Shane Dawson?

as an added argument, aren’t homosexual couples actually a scientific advantage at this point? We, as a species, are becoming quite overpopulated. However, homosexual couples 1) do not add to the population, and 2) take care of children that would not be taken care of otherwise. This slows the rise in population, meaning that our species may even survive longer because of it.

can we stop referring to all sex that could possibly result in pregnancy as “heterosexual reproduction” now

Is this real

Is this really appearing before my eyes

can it be true

a cutesy cartoon about gender and sexuality that is not cissexist and degendering toward trans people (who get to wear clothes just like cis people)??????????

mind is blown.

You may have seen Melanie and Vanessa Iris Roy’s side-by-side pregnancy photo (top), as it’s been massively viral — but it’s definitely not the only inspiring and adorable shot of their family. In fact, every one of these deserves to go viral in its own right.

They take turns getting pregnant <3 aaaw this is what I like

List of bisexuals whose identities are erased by the media.

All or which have either been given the name “gay” or “straight“ by the media despite coming out. There are more than two sexualities and this is a fact that most people (even on Tumblr nowadays) forget. People tend to assume that since someone is with a person of the same gender, they’re gay. (Or vice versa in Angelina or P!nk’s case) This is incorrect to assume because you’re erasing their identities in the process. The people on this list aren’t gay or straight, they’re bisexual. No matter how much the media tries to erase that.

I will repost this forever

Just a reminder that the LGBT community isn’t some magical place where everyone is accepted.

Because life is all “me, me, me!!!!” for these people.

It’s sad to see so many in the so-called “LGBT community” being so shallow and judgmental. It’s almost like a racist being a pig and then someone pointing out their Asian friend and them saying “Yeah, but they’re different, I know them!”

As a followup to last week’s comments about homophobia, and as a reminder that phobias are not exclusive to a certain subgroup (say, heteros). Reading the tweets above is comically sad. Replace “bi” with “gay”, and see that the rhetoric is exactly the same.

This does not excuse the rhetoric of homophobes though. Rather, this is a reminder that no one is blameless. We all need to work to get rid of our stereotypes and prejudices. Racism, sexism and all types of segregations are not unidirectional phenomenons.

(we’ve been raised by the media to view homosexual relationships as dirty or secret things, and so like, being a ‘korrasami’ shipper wasn’t something to shout on the rooftops about. it was fun and all, but inside, we secretly felt like we were “perverting” a kid’s show, throwing unnecessary things into it, by shipping korrasami - because this is what we’ve been taught.

and then. all those things we figured we were just reading too far into, looking at with too much queer subtext, could never ever possibly imagine that they could actually be anything, come together in the final moments. korra and asami fell. in. love. right before our eyes. and all along, we weren’t deluding ourselves. we weren’t pushing something wrong onto a kid’s show. everything we’ve ever dreamed of becomes real. it’s like, this big curtain just got lifted off of us. as queer people, as queer shippers.

now, we can shout on rooftops about our ship. we can talk about it like we’ve never been able to before because it’s out there now. I, personally, feel so validated. yes, this all says, you’re not strange or wrong because you think two women can fall in love. look here. it’s happening right now.

and that is why korrasami is so much more than just a ship to me.)

Bigotry Unleashed - Notalwaysright

(A gay couple has just met up in the restaurant and kissed each other upon arrival. Another customer has seen this and is obviously angry.)

Angry Customer: “Damn f**s.”

Gay Man: “Excuse me?”

Angry Customer: “You heard me, you little s***. Let’s not make this into some little pride protest, okay? I have to accept that you’re going to live your lifestyle, and you have to accept that I’ve got freedom of speech.”

Gay Man: *quietly* “Is it too much to ask for a little human decency?”

Angry Customer: “Human? Listen up, what you’re doing is not human. I think I have the right to determine what I think is human.”

(The manager shows up. He’s a quiet Italian man who I assume is conservative due to the Christian imagery and portrait of Reagan he keeps around the restaurant.)

Angry Customer: *to the owner* “Hey, can you move either them or us to another table?”

(Instead of responding to the angry customer, the owner instead speaks to his wife.)

Owner: “I’m sorry ma’am, but we have a strict ‘no pets’ policy in my restaurant.”

Wife: “Uh, I, uh, what? I don’t have a—”

Owner: “Well, according to your talking monkey over here, I can determine who’s a human and who’s not. You bring an animal into my restaurant; I gotta assume it’s your pet.”

(The angry customer storms out. When I left, the owner was giving his description, and copies of security camera footage, to the biggest crowd of police I’ve seen. Apparently it’s a bad idea to not pay your bill at a restaurant that gives free coffee to cops.)

i can’t believe it’s 2014 and there’s still no gay romantic comedy about vin diesel and dwayne johnson falling in love

They raise a gaggle of kids undercover working for a gov’t agency together

i would pay multiple dollars to see vin diesel and dwayne johnson portray a cute affectionate couple

I’m in my psych class and my teacher just referred to the LGBT community as GLBT which fucked me up at first cause I have never heard it in that order and I just realized GLBT as an acronym is a lot easier to say than LGBT why is that not the one we use

Add in Omnisexual and Asexual and you have GOLBAT

Petition to call our community Golbat.

Burger King launches a gay whopper (the “Proud Whopper”).  Pretty cool (and touching) video!

ICYMI: Burger King Proud Whopper

Burger King introduced a new Whopper for San Francisco Pride 2014, with message inside the wrapper states “We are all the same inside”.

Personally, I am impressed by such move by a big chain like Burger King and I believe it does matter a lot. I applaud Burger King for this and I gotta admit too, I have never expected a burger would make me cry. :)
