Second cover of the year, another favorite song since college that I’ve been binge-listening in the office (and one I know how to play on the piano).
Replicating the instrumental was kinda difficult this time, I had to listen even deeper to get the drum beats right.
Artwork is done in Procreate, another app with a timelapse feature. It’s neater than Sketchbook Pro, I gotta say. I don’t know why I drew this to go with the song, I couldn’t really find the perfect theme to draw to depict contagiousness or attachment but I’ve got a thing for eating brains and sucking the life out of it. And the girl turned out kinda like Noodle from Gorillaz too, my friend was the first to point that out.

Flying Towards An Early Grave

This right here's part of my cover of Bastille's song Icarus. I decided to cover it cuz I just learned to play this song on the piano two months ago, cuz it was one of the songs I repeatedly listened in the office. Also I was trying out Garageband on the iPad for fun, and it's easier to use there compared to using it on the laptop.
also cuz this song's not as popular as Pompeii cough cough
Done in Sketchbook Pro, also on the iPad. Previously I tried streaming my screen with VLC Player but it refused to record (probably cuz my Macbook is already 6 yrs old & outdated) and then I found out Sketchbook Pro has a timelapse feature. And seeing as I've got buttloads of drawings with me falling from the sun and melted chocolate wings, I thought I was gonna make this a revamp of one of them, but then I thought "nah... they're all me."

I used Tayasui Sketches for this, i kinda noticed the pic on the link's done in Photoshop and some features aren't there in Sketches so i tried matching the effects with whatever it's got. And at least the poses aren't that similar either, I made Hikakin elbow Seikin out of the way 😆

A creepy The-Shining-esque concept art of roller-skating twins Elida & Elina Orzechovska & their cats Mishta & Roderpoder. They’ll be on Jealous Cats Copycats once i’ll get back to doing the series. [X][X]
Came across this doodle/sketch from 2013 while thinking up new characters for Jealous Cats series.
They’re actually revamped random characters I made in grade school one time, Mishta & Roderpoder was probably conceived first cuz I made the ARMOR cats for ARM team, way before JCCC. Then Elida & Elina came later & I didn’t remember if they were initially supposed to be Mishta’s owners, but then again, why not.
They don’t really dress like this in the comics, nope. I guess I was just inspired by LavenderTowne’s artworks or maybe I wanted to add some Grady Twins elements in them.

Alright so, some of the drawings here (esp. on the early months) aren't on dA, I've just begin submitting stuff here again later this year.
Some explanations:
• On March I got a job as an animator, so in preparation I've been finishing an unfinished AfterEffects animation & did some other song lyrics videos, so there weren't any solid drawings.
• May was my birthday, and I was still animating so the only drawing I got was the age series I did every year.
• They reassigned me as a graphic designer on July though, so I got time to draw again. Plus the boss lent me his iPad pro on October, and thus the change in texture or art style.

Photo-Painting Practice
In my office the graphic designers were given assignments to practice digital painting from a photo reference. The boss is currently nuts over Makoto Shinkai artworks (he's got the art book which he passed around to us) & told us to follow tutorials from McLelun
