Well, this is a bit confusing, to say the least!
Also, in Norwegian, 'takk' means 'thank you'.

tbh "tak" is short for "tidak" which generally means "no". also most Indonesians use the slang word "nggak" instead of "tak" more often. it's the Malays who usually use "tak" on a daily basis instead.
