Hermit crabs wear 3D architectural scapes as shelter! 

From a project by artist Aki Inomata, she envisioned the identities of the crabs. "Though the body of the hermit crab is the same, according to the shell it is wearing, its appearance changes completely. It’s as if they were asking, “Who are you?” the artist said. 


Japanese artist Aki Inomata created this series of hermit shell cityscapes back in 2009, bringing to iconic skylines to the backs of these little crustaceans
